ABOUT

As a lifelong resident of Washtenaw County and a product of Ann Arbor Public Schools, I have a real connection to this community. I was born here and I grew up here. My wife Megan and I live in Ann Arbor and we look forward to our future in with a family, strengthening our many great connections to our community and looking forward to making new ones.

After graduating from Pioneer, I attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH, where I met Megan, who is now a special education teacher at Dexter High School. As a student-athlete, I played varsity lacrosse and majored in religion and political science. Upon graduation in 2004, I moved to Washington, DC, where I worked for Senator Carl Levin as a press assistant and in 2005 began working for our Congressman, John Dingell. I moved back home in 2006 to work for Congressman Dingell here in the 15th District. I served him in many capacities, including serving as his District Administrator from 2009 to 2011. In that role I managed his Michigan staff and offices and served as the main liaison for our community and its important projects, such as Ann Arbor Bridges, Parkview Apartments in Ypsilanti and many of the other organizations, entities and individuals that make our area so special.

I now serve as the Vice President for Government Relations at the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber, where I continue my work with our community. I am finishing my thesis work for a Master’s of Public Administration at Eastern Michigan University and should graduate this spring. In addition to work and school.
